Dear visitor,
here you can find some information about me - brlizg.
My Nick
First, let me introduce you to this strange string of letters, my IRC nickname - brlizg. I chose this nick, when I first logged on IRC and I have never changed it. It is Slovenian word and therefore hard to pronounce. Probably. Thus, people call me also brli and recently I have been just b. Brlizg means shrill sound, however, this word was not chosen to personify me, at least not purposely.
My Story
My real name is Andrej Remec. I was born on 10th of November 1976 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. I live in Ljubljana with my parents and brother. I am a student of information science on Faculty of Social Sciences.
I heard about altered states of consciousness two years ago, when my older brother told me about his lucid dreams, which made great impact on him. I was very sceptic about it as I gained a lot of psychological knowledge at that time. Nevertheless, I retained my interest in lucid dreams, also because they offered an attractive subject for my psychological research, which I had to perform in the high-school as a part of final examination. Later, I truly realized this research and it was the most resounding intellectual work in my life.
My psychological approach made me indifferent to lucid dreaming induction technique that I knew of then (I have not had access to the WWW yet). To become lucid in the dream I should look at my dream hands and realize that I am actually dreaming. Instead of this, I rather decided to go visit some friend in the dream. I wanted to test if something different than looking at hands could cause lucid dream too.
Soon, I got opportunity to try that. What happened after remembering on meeting a friend in the dream was totally unexpected. The dream environment faded out and I got strange vibrations. I spent some time in this state, exploring what was happening to me and then woke up. I believed that those vibrations were result of some physiological reaction of the body. However, I was confused because it did not feel like that. The vibrations were more mental and the body did not shake at all. I did not find anything about such or similar feeling in the literature I had, nor my friends, who were able to lucid dream, did not know what could it be. Anyway, I hoped that I will be able to experience vibrations again.
Indeed, I experienced vibrations again and again. Sometimes it seemed that they appear without any particular reason; I just found myself in the bed with vibrations. I never experienced them during the day, but I slightly became to think there was something wrong with me. I was not able to lucid dream, plus, there were uncertain vibrations. It passed few months since I started to induce lucid dreams, until I realized what was all about. In one night I got vibrations again and it really made me angry. I said, "That's enough!" and stood up, out of the bed. I walked away and my anger disappeared immediately, because I realized I stepped in non-physical world! At that time I did not know it was actually Out of Body Experience - I thought I was lucid dreaming.
This first experience blew away all my doubts about existence of non-physical world. I did just the same things I argued about with my brother that are not special and can be simply explained. It was shown to me that Out of Body World is not a simple creation of brains.
I learned that when I got vibrations I can leave my physical body, and soon my friends experienced vibrations as well, so it was no more something extra. I also got access to the WWW, where I found more information about it.
#ASC
As I familiarized myself with the Internet, I also learned how to use IRC. I regularly came on the IRC channels, where people interested in Altered States of Consciousness gathered. Many of them were willing to help and share their experiences. I learned much from them.
Notwithstanding, there were still some things that remained unclear to me. I could not left my house, when I was out of body, for example, and that frustrated me. During the search for answers, I read some warning texts about projecting and it scarred me even more. I had permanent problems with projection at that time too. When I got out of the body, I was not able to see anything, because my eyes could not open, and I could hardly move. I spent the whole projection lying on the floor and desperately trying to move a bit further until I was sucked back in the body.
Then I met Hermes on the IRC, who seemed to know everything. It was explained to me that fear of projecting can hold me in the body and that I can occupy several astral bodies with their specific features. Thanks to Hermes, I do not experience such problems any more. I learned that I must wait some time after separating from the physical body to get perfect vision. To avoid problems with moving, I must find a wall or something else solid and try to pass it. That would change my astral body to more appropriate one for traveling.
Hermes' advices were essential also for projections of my friends. That is why we decided to make a new IRC channel #ASC, where Hermes and other experienced people could teach and help, as that was not possible to obtain on other channels. I see #ASC as great opportunity to learn about myself and Universe, to meet people and share experience, and finally to learn how to spread help and knowledge that I receive there.
My Projection Technique
It is here, where I leave my physical body and enter into non-physical world. I use dream state to go Out of Body, because I still can not project consciously from the trance.
Now, let me tell you my usual projection procedure. I figured out that morning nap has the best effect. I enter the dream quicker, in comparison with falling asleep at the evening, because I do not need to spent time in the deep sleep first.
I wake up 2 hours before I have to get up (usually that is 9 am). I go to the bathroom to wake up myself completely. Sometimes, I also read a newspaper or get something to eat. Then I return to the bedroom and do a MPE. Next thing I do is to lie back in the bed and relax my physical body. After relaxation, I ask my Spirit Guide to help me going out and to protect me. I let him/her know that I am aware of him/her and sometimes I can feel his/her presence at that time. Sometimes I also set a place, where I want to travel in the projection or I express my desire to meet someone. I keep an image of that place in my mind and try to remember how it looked, when I was already there, or I recall desired place I read or I was told about. Then I request my Spirit Guide to bring me there.
I usually fall asleep after that. However, soon, I either enter a dream and remember I was inducing Out of Body Travel and consequently get vibrations, or vibrations come spontaneously before I start dreaming (I can also simply forget I was dreaming). Of course, I can, and mostly I do fall asleep and wake up without having a projection.
When I get vibrations, I easily stand off the bed and walk away as I did in my first Out of Body Experience. Well, recently, I figured out that astral body is more fluid than physical one, so I speed up the process a little. I do not lift out my-astral-self, I rather release it. The experience is like I would be a drop of water, squeezing through a broken pipe. I transfuse my-astral-self over the edge of my bed and further towards the centre of my bedroom. I call this
So, dear visitor. This is the end of little introduction about me. I plan to learn more English this year, so I will be able to add more about myself and my beliefs. If you want to discuss about anything with me, please find me on #ASC or e-mail me. And thank you for visiting this page!
