COMICS

I like comics. I've been drawning comics or different small pictures since I was a little boy. In 1994 I started drawing comics for the regional newspaper OKO from Nova Gorica. From late 1994 till middle 1996 more than 60 comics were published.

Exhibitions

Once, a long time ago, in February 1993 I organized an exibition of my paintings and drawings. I realized that such a thing can be very funny. People were pleased to come and none left hungry. It was an interesting experience.

Since then I've organized some exhibitions because it is fun to have them and because your work should be shown to the people, your name should be known in the country and your friends must eat something, too.
Showing the art (10 KB)

There have been four exhibitions of my comics till now:

1995, April: Klub CRMK (a club for young people) in Sempeter pri Gorici
The first "real" comics exhibition. Large quantities of top quality wine were consumed.
Pictures: Opening (23 KB), Dancing (26 KB), Posing (18 KB)
1995, May: Turn Smartno (an old mansion) in Goriska Brda (famous vineyard region near Nova Gorica)
It has never been found out where large quantities of wine disappeared.
Picture: The opening speech (28 KB)
1995, summer: Stari kino (a place outside where mostly students meet and various events happen in summer)
There was no formal opening of this exhibition in the city center of Nova Gorica.
Picture: Posing for the newspaper article (47 KB)
1996, March: City Hall in Nova Gorica.
The greatest exhibition ever. A lot of media interest. Some schools even prepared organized visits to the exhibition.
Pictures: The oppening speech (29 KB), Singing for the TV(23 KB)

Examples of Comics

I draw comics with black, brue or even purple pen with no additional colors.

The accent is on the text and not on the drawing itself. Usually the text is a joke which is very offten specific of the region where I live. I do not copy jokes, they are all a product of my creativity. The graphics is used mainly to enhance the text.

TURISM, 1994 (TURIZEM)

This is how I first drew in 1994 when the newspaper OKO started to publish my comics.

Translation
The turism in our familly is highly developed...
I travel to the nearest pub every day!

GENEROSITY, 1995 (RADODARNOST)

This is the example of an ordinary comic (black and white, two frames).

Translation
A: Mister, have you got anything...you don't need...for the poor?
B: Yes, the cirrhosis!

HOLIDAY FOR EVERYBODY, 1995 (PRAZNIK ZA VSAKOGAR)

Just another comic.

Translation
A: Today we are celebrating the traditional workers day. Me and mum are not going to work at all!
B: Daddy, who is going to clean your dirty pants then?

A FLY WHICH LIVES ONLY ONE DAY, 1996 (MUHA ENODNEVNICA)

The newspaper OKO covers different issues: politics, economy, culture, news,... But it's main defect is that it is published only every two weeks. After a couple of days the news are not updated any more. The directors want it to become a daily newspaper.

Translation
Question for the possible daily release: will the first edition be also the last? That is: if OKO ever becomes a daily newspaper, is it going to be a "fly which lives only one day"?

SING, 1996 (PETI)

Another example.

Translation
Daddy, if people heard you singing... I don't think they would kill you...but they would surely kill themselves!
